Anna Rain is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher. She began her practice in 1994, has been teaching since 2000, and has passed four levels of rigorous assessment to hold currently the level of Junior Intermediate II. To improve the art and science of her teaching, she studies with her mentors in Pennsylvania regularly, and she visits the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune, India every two years.
Through asana (poses), pranayama, (breath control), and pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Anna seeks to lead students to ever deeper revelations in their spiritual awareness. Her own practice was instrumental to recovery from a serious back injury (not from yoga!) in 2014. She has found the study of Iyengar yoga to be transformative for every body, regardless of ability, weight, age, or flexibility.
