Mindful Movement and Meditation Workshop

Join us at the White Lotus Wellness Center for a two part meditation experience entering into the July Full Moon, the effect of Qigong and Chakra balancing.

Qigong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention.

The word Qigong (Chi Kung) is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the universe. Gong is usually translated to mean work, skill, or achievement.

The word Chakra comes from Sanskrit and means wheel or circle. Chakras are described as energy centers or centers of energetic exchange. Chakra balancing is the opening and cleansing of these centers with positive energy.

First, Jose Vega of Vega Therapy Services Inc. will lead a light warm-up leading into gentle movements, and postures from various Chinese qigong styles. These are simple movements combined with breathing and intention to relax the mind and body. Following the qigong practice you will be led into a guided meditation done by Ruthie Keep of Empathic Healing Center. Guided meditation allows us to more effectively interact with and heal the chakras of the body.

Please dress comfortably, feel free to bring a yoga mat and some water to drink after.
